LAVA HIKE at NIGHT! - This 5 hour tour is mostly a driving tour, with a short, 10-15 minute walk out across an old lava field to view molten lava flowing into the ocean at night. The terrain is uneven so please wear closed-toe shoes such as sneakers. This tour also includes stops at the Mauna Loa Mac Nut Far, Lava Tree State Park, a scenic drive through the Nanawale Rainforest and the Kalapana Red Road, light snacks, beverages, flashlights, chairs for lava viewing, telescope and tripod for your camera.
